Ikke ferdig, men nærmer seg In July 2013, Gunnar and Julia went on a new ”once in a lifetime” trip, this time to Peru. We bought into a three weeks roundtrip, and extended the stay with a week. The trip started in Lima, and covered most of southern Peru. We saw all the main sights, and some more. The following pages show pictures, and a little text, from all we experienced. Click in the bar to the left to see the different stages of the journey. We were in a group of seven, ages from 20 to 53. Two Brits, two Aussies, one Finn and us two. All the way we were guided by Cesar, who could relax when we had local guides at some places. We went with bus, van, train, plane and feet. It was not a luxurious trip, but OK standard. Five of us hiked the Inca Trail, four days up and down on the old Inca roads to Machu Picchu. We had a very good guide, a kind of "born again Inca," with great enthusiasm for everythingold and mystic. Gunnar and Julia extended the stay in the Amazon-area with a few days, before we went back to Lima. Theese pages are meant to give a brief impression of what we saw, mainly through pictures. |
